A Few of My Faves

My Journey to Coaching

My lifelong fitness journey began back in 1994 when I started working out to Jane Fonda’s Step Aerobic DVD’s. I thought I was so fancy when I advanced to Gin Miller with Step Reebox and added pink 5lb dumbbells! It wasn’t until my second pregnancy that I got more serious about nutrition (I might've done a little too much "eating for two" with the first pregnancy). I wanted to provide the best growing environment for my daughter while gaining the appropriate amount of weight, so I made a tracking chart using the “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” book.

In my late 30s, I found a passion for lifting weights. I loved seeing the muscle growth and feeling more than just skinny – I felt strong! However, when I turned 40, the societal pressure came crashing down on me like a tidal wave. Friends, family, and strangers online all cried wolf about the impossibility of maintaining a healthy weight in midlife. They claimed it was harder to lose weight, that you were doomed to collect fat around your stomach, you name it! That was when I taught myself how to track macros to really advance my fitness progress.

Over the next ten years, I continued tracking macros and learned about the mind-body connection to help me build muscle, lose fat, and maintain a healthy weight for my body. My girls were always telling me that I should open a gym and teach other women how to do what I did. That’s when the spark to become a nutrition and weight loss coach was ignited!

While plenty of coaching services only offer impersonal email check-ins, often demanding weekly progress photos for ‘proof’ of your hard work, I know that you’re so much more than your exterior appearance! If you want to go beyond just focusing on the numbers – the scale, the clothing sizes, the calories – I’m your gal.

As a wife, mother, and grandmother, I understand how to meet women in their 40s (and beyond!) where they’re at in their fitness journey. I approach coaching with authenticity, empathy, and love to help you feel confident and in control of your body. Side-by-side, we’ll take a holistic approach to your health, focusing on diet, exercise, and mindset to cultivate a body you love living in.

I can’t wait to get started!
